In UNESA, one academic year consists of two semesters.
The First semester usually begins in the end of August and finishes in the middle of December.
The Second Semester usually begins in early February and finishes in the middle of June.
The orientation day for all degrees usually at the beginning of first semester, however for post graduate students there will also be orientation days at the beginning of second semester.
Each semester consists of teachings and exams.
